Alain Strowel 

Alain Strowel is professor at UCLouvain where he teaches courses in intellectual property, IT and media law. He also gives a course in the advanced master in intellectual property and IT law at the Munich IP Law Center and the University of Alicante. Alain graduated in law, economics and philosophy at the UCLouvain and the University of Amsterdam. He holds a PhD in Law from UCLouvain. Today his research focuses on data governance, Artificial Intelligence and the regulation of online platforms (member of the DRAILS research group: https://drails.org/ ).

He has been preparing several studies for WIPO and the European Commission (together with Technopolis, he prepared in 2021 a study for DG Connect (Copyright Unit) on the copyright policy options linked to the use of AI tools in the creative sectors).
